SO. I have zombie dreams pretty frequently. But this one fucking takes the cake.
over the last few days I've been brushing up on this: (justincase)
BUT!
I had a dream I was somehow in my grandmother's house in Mohton (which is a very bad place to be because there's a ridic amount of doors, and it's not very securable.. so this would be badnewsbears to the 12th power.) I was there alone, and realized the outbreak was going on from people texting me about it.then checking it out for myself (because Sidekick data service would OBV work in such a crisis) and anyway, I look outside and in fact there are undead walking about. so all the doors are locked all windows locked and blinds down. Next thing. I look for some sort of a weapon. I know they don't have a fun or anything crafty and really useful. so I find a wooden bat? It was in the kitchen. which is really odd because... WHO THE HELL KEEPS BATS IN THE KITCHEN??? anyway. I had the idea to demolish the staircase but had really no means of doing so without ruining my only weapon I had against a horde of zombies, plus it's a wooden bat.. it's not going to do a whole bunch of damage I mean honestly. -_-
I definitely locked the basement door and suddenly I hear sounds coming from the other side of the door .
I panic and realize I was standing directly in front of the kitchen window, and there is one zombie against it.
So to recap, I have a wooden bat, a locked but very vulnerable location and a plank of wood with a deadbolt and a pane of glass seperating me from undead things capable of eating my face, infecting me and all that jazz.
so I run upstairs and make a barricade blocking the door after I try (with success) to demolish the staircase.
Using beds, dressers, bookcases etc. As soon as it's all baricadded up I hear the window downstairs break (very RE2 Gunstore cutscene-esque) if you don't know what i'm talking about watch this 45 seconds in.
Anyway, I woke up and was basically freaking out. Normally zombie dreams are badass but this one was too real. Maybe I'll get into the other ones I had some other time but probably not!
In retrospect locking doors isn't THAT useful.
